The current fee to access an Agreement Document for an Unregistered Easement is an additional $75.00 CAN plus HST for a total of $84.75 CAN per Agreement Document.

If you are unable to access the Unregistered Easement Inquiry System online, you can request Hydro One Staff perform the search on your behalf. The current fee is $88.29 CAN plus HST for a total of $99.76 CAN per legal description search. A valid credit card or PayPal account is required for payment. Please click here to start this process. Hydro One Unregistered Easement records are tied to the official Geographic Township fabric set by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry. Users can choose the Address or Keyword search functions to find and select a Geographic Township. The search can be refined further by selecting a Reference Type and Reference Type Value (e.g., Concession and Lot). The system will use this information to search the Hydro One database and return all matching unregistered easement records.

By clicking on the ellipses in the top-right corner of DataViewer, or right clicking on the blue banner, the user can select the option to export the results to Excel for further local use.

A user can access the P Card or Agreement Document while in DataViewer after completing the search steps. On the record of choice, click on the GeoPortal Links icon and then select the P Card and the Agreement Document. An additional $75.00 CAN plus HST per Agreement Document will be required.

All calls will be responded to as quickly as possible. The maximum time period for a call to be returned is 48 hrs.

No, you will be required to pay the fee of $25.00 + HST for every search completed. To avoid making errors, verify your desired location using the “Map It” function on the search tool. To do so click on the globe icon to launch GeoViewer.

If you are unable to fulfill the payment online, you can mail a request to Hydro One to conduct the search on your behalf via Canada Post (mailing address: 185 Clegg Road, Markham, ON, L6G 2B7 attention: Unregistered Easements). The current fee is $88.29 CAN plus HST for a total of $99.76 CAN per legal description search. The fee must be paid via cheque and sent to the address above. If multiple legal descriptions are to be searched, requests can be mailed in together with a single cheque to cover the total amount. Hydro One will complete your search request within 21 days.

Yes. If zero (0) records are returned for a search, users may click “View Results” to generate a PDF report that confirms that zero Unregistered Easements were returned for the provided search criteria. It is important to note that DataViewer will still load in another tab, and will provide generic message that “The specified query has not returned any data. If you need help please contact the System Administrator.” Note that this is not an error, but a standard message automatically generated for Zero results. No further action is required by the user.
